Marc has a very unusual background which includes mathematics, business, theatre and improvisation: He studied actuarial science at the Université Laval in Québec, Canada and worked for a large actuarial consulting firm in both Toronto and Montréal for 4 years after college. He then moved to New York to study acting at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy where he completed a 2-year acting conservatory program. He also studied improvisation in New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
After pursuing acting and directing for a few years in New York (Ray Donovan, Revenge, Law & Order, Sex & the City, Unfaithful among others, as well as extensive stage work), he joined the analytics department of Razorfish, part of the Publicis Groupe. There he was responsible for developing campaign measurement strategy, research projects and the presentation of data-heavy material to clients in a clear and engaging format.
While at Razorfish, he started developing presentation skills workshops to fulfill an unmet need. He has since developed and led workshops for thousands of attendees in cities across the US for clients like DigitasLBi, Spark 44, Publicis Healthcare Group and AdLoop. He has also coached many presenters individually to help them improve the content, design and delivery of important presentations. Finally, he has consulted with various teams across different offices and companies on how to improve the quality of the content of their presentations, the clarity of their stories and key messages, and efficacy of their staff’s delivery.
Marc now lives in Los Angeles with his husband of 17 years, and works as a presentation skills trainer, Excel expert and actor.
