James has 15 years of experience as a professional speaker, actor, and coach. After finishing a BFA in Acting at UCSB he got inspired by and went to work for Tony Robbins where he was a speaker/trainer and worked with fortune 500 companies. James subsequently was a top speaker for Making It Count (a subsidiary of Monster.com) where he was a top speaker and spoke to over 40,000 high school students about how to make their college dreams a reality. As he pursued an interest in spirituality and transformation, James moved on to working with Ken Wilber and the Integral Institute, where he facilitated workshops and helped organize seminars. He then went back to get an MFA in acting from The American Conservatory Theatre and a PhD from the California Institute of Integral Studies, where his research explored aspects of human and organizational transformation. His research received funding from the Esalen Institute and the Meta-Integral Foundation. His life now consists of acting in professional theatre, teaching at places like the American Conservatory Theatre and Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and helping Moxie clients speak powerfully and transform the world.
